Singapore Navy interactive recruitment


A highly novel recruitment campaign for the Republic of Singapore Navy featured a mural of “navy life” posters in the Citilink Mall. Hidden somewhere in the mural was the image of a young navy recruit and passers-by were invited to download a game to their mobile to search for him and SMS his co-ordinates. Correct entries were eligible for great prizes. It was a novel and entertaining way to interest young people in a Navy career by encouraging them to look closely at all the posters.

BRUT scores major hit on Adshel mobile


Pharmacare’s BRUT became the first FMCG product to run a campaign on Adshel’s Bluetooth network in March. People passing-by selected Adshel locations in Sydney and Melbourne were invited to download a short clip to their mobile featuring one of five different “Man codes” which focused on innate behaviour patterns that ”real men” live by. The campaign exceeded expectations when 25,000 clips were downloaded over two weeks, representing an opt-in rate of 27%. As well as being a success for BRUT, the opt-in rate showed the growing consumer interest in interacting with the Adshel network. Opt-in was twice as high as Adshel’s initial, similar weighted campaign 6 months ago. With more than 600,000 handsets detected, the campaign delivered 4 times the reach of earlier results.

Nomophobia – soon a thing of the past


Quickcharge Media, the company providing Australia's first network of mobile phone charging kiosks, has formed a partnership with Aura Interactive to integrate BlueZones into the kiosks that will shortly be located at major locations and events. The kiosks provide a 10 minute emergency charge for $2, will charge 50% quicker than a regular charger and are compatible with most phones. While waiting for the recharge, phone owners will be able interact with the digital screen on the kiosk to download location-based information, branded content, giveaways and product vouchers to their mobile. The kiosks will provide the host location with the opportunity to earn commissions.
